Privacy & Analytics

Website privacy and usage tracking

This page explains the information 5 Star Support collects when people use this website and how that information is used.

Plain-English summary: We use first-party website analytics to understand which pages people visit, what buttons they click, where visits came from, and how the website is used. We do not intentionally record passwords, keystrokes, or the contents of form fields before you submit them.

Website analytics

5 Star Support may collect anonymous or pseudonymous website usage data to improve the site, understand marketing performance, and measure interest in our products.

This can include page views, timestamps, anonymous visitor and session identifiers, referral source, campaign parameters, browser and device information, viewport size, scroll depth, time spent on pages, links and buttons clicked, and the sequence of actions taken during a visit.

What we do not capture through behavioral analytics

Our behavioral tracking is designed not to collect the contents of text fields, passwords, payment-card details, or what you type before submitting a form. Click tracking may record the label and location of a button or link, but not private form-field values.

Contact form submissions

If you choose to submit the contact form, we receive the information you intentionally provide so we can respond to your request. A submission may also include anonymous visitor or session identifiers so we can understand which website journey led to the inquiry.

Where a visit came from

We may record the referring website and common campaign parameters such as UTM source, medium, and campaign. Referral information can be limited by browsers, privacy tools, email clients, social apps, and other platforms, so it may not always identify the source of a visit.

Local browser storage

The website may use local browser storage to assign an anonymous visitor identifier, keep related activity in the same session, remember first-touch attribution, and temporarily queue analytics events if the analytics service is unavailable.

How analytics data is used

  • Understand which products and pages receive the most interest.
  • Measure clicks on purchase, video, contact, and Get Started calls to action.
  • Understand traffic sources and marketing campaigns.
  • Improve website layout, usability, and conversion flow.
  • Diagnose website errors and performance issues.

Sharing and sale of analytics data

5 Star Support does not sell website analytics data to advertisers. Analytics collected by our first-party dashboard is intended for internal business and website-improvement use.
