What Does “Own Your Business Software” Mean?
5 Star Support uses “ownership” to describe a software model where the purchased core system is not dependent on an ongoing 5 Star Support monthly subscription just to keep using it.
The simple version
If you buy the ready-to-deploy Auto Repair System, you are buying the deployed core software rather than renting access to it month after month from 5 Star Support. The current offer is $2,500 one-time for the Front Desk System with the Technician Portal included free.
What ownership does not automatically include
“Own the software” should not be read as a promise that every possible third-party service, external API, domain name, hosting account, app-store account, payment processor, data provider, future feature, custom integration or support service is free forever. Those items may have independent costs.
It also does not replace the written purchase agreement. The exact deliverables, deployment rights, source-code rights (if any), transferability, included setup, third-party dependencies and support terms are defined in the order or agreement for the specific purchase.
Optional support, updates and future work
A customer may later want new features, custom branding, additional portals, mobile apps, integrations, training or technical support. Those can be quoted separately. Buying the core system does not obligate the customer to buy every future improvement, and it does not obligate 5 Star Support to provide unlimited future development for free.
Why 5 Star Support chose this model
Many service businesses rely on software every day but do not necessarily want every workflow decision tied to an ongoing SaaS bill. 5 Star Support is building an alternative for businesses that prefer an upfront ownership model and direct control over when they pay for expansion.
